A corner store for all of Colorado
Biz Tiendita is a free, student-led project that helps people find and support Colorado small businesses, connects owners with resources, and builds open data about the businesses that hold our neighborhoods together.
Our mission
Make every Colorado small business easy to find, easy to support and impossible to overlook.
Small businesses make up 99.5% of Colorado businesses, yet many of them, especially family-run and immigrant-owned shops, never show up in a search. We want to change that, in English and in Spanish.

How we work
Our methodology, in plain language.
Owners tell their own story
Listings come from owners or from people who know the business. Identity details are always optional and self-reported.
Every listing is reviewed
We check registration with the Colorado Secretary of State and confirm details with the owner before adding a Verified badge.
Standard industry codes
Businesses are classified with 2022 NAICS codes, so our data lines up with Census and SBA research.
Free and fair
No business pays to be listed or to rank higher. Every business gets the same profile.
Community impact
