What is Biz Tiendita?
Biz Tiendita is a free, bilingual directory of Colorado small businesses. It also has a resource hub for owners and an Impact page with open data on what small businesses bring to their communities.
How do I find a business?
Search by name or by what you need, pick a city, or browse by industry. You can filter by language, services and features, and switch to the map to see what is nearby.
Can I find businesses that speak Spanish?
Yes. Every listing shows the languages the business serves customers in, and the language filter in the directory shows only the businesses that speak the language you choose.
What does "Verified" mean?
A Verified business has been checked against the Colorado Secretary of State business records, and we confirmed its details with the owner.
I found a mistake on a listing. What should I do?
Tell us through the contact form or at info@biztiendita.com and we will check it with the business.
For business owners
How much does it cost to be listed?
Nothing. Listing is free, and no business can pay to rank higher. Every business gets the same profile.
Who can be listed?
Any small business in Colorado: storefronts, home-based, mobile and online businesses, whatever language their owners speak.
What do I need to add my business?
Your business name, a short description, your industry and category, your city and at least one way for customers to reach you. A logo and a few photos help your profile stand out.
What information is public, and what stays private?
Your profile shows your business name, description, photos, category, city, hours, languages and the contact details you choose to show. Your own contact details, employee counts, sales and identity answers stay private. Identity badges only appear if you choose to show them, and a home address is never shown unless you run a storefront there.
How long until my listing goes live?
We review every listing by hand before it is published, to keep the directory accurate.
How do I update or remove my listing?
Use the contact form and choose "Update or remove a listing", or write to info@biztiendita.com.
Can I add a business I don't own?
Yes, if you know it well. We confirm the details with the owner before the listing can be marked Verified.
About the data
What is the Impact page?
It shows totals for the businesses in the directory: estimated jobs, years in the community, languages served and industries. Partners, funders and local leaders use it to see where support is needed.
Do you sell my information?
No. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. The Impact page and its downloads only show totals, never names, contact details or exact locations.
